alright, theres this turn by my house that i can usually take easily at about 40 mph, but for some reason today, i took it at 35 and my back end came out and i had to control the slide around the turn...why did this happen? my tires are still good, road was clean and dry. i've also notice less traction with my front tires, which sometimes have seemed to slide when i take turns quickly. Any help?

Tires do get harder as they age. Also, how are the pressures? Dust or dirt on the road?Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"

Also, A4 or M5? If M5, letting off the gas too much can break the rear. That's how I usually spin in autocrosses ("Damn, I was going too fast, but I should have kept my foot on it!")Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"
