ok, sounds like your brakes squeak when you turn? (If it was the power steering motor was your problem you would hear a wine coming from the engine bay when you’re on the gas) I had this problem with my left rear whenever I took a left after having my new brakes installed. The Midas shop I took it to said our rotors warp a little when cornering. [img]graemlins/dunce.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/fluffy.gif[/img]

Anyway I put some disk break quiet on the pads and it hasn't given me a problem since. Sounds like your pads rub a little when you rotors are hot and the metal has expanded. I dunno that’s just from my experience though, good luck

Do you hear the noise when sitting still and turn the wheel? If the noise is still there when not rolling I would think that would eliminate the brakes. If it's the pump, I would think the noise should be there regardless of vehicle speed, since the pump is moving with the engine speed, not the vehicle speed. I would try to isolate it with some tests like that. If it only does it when moving it may not help much, but you never know.

I noticed something when my car was on the lift at Firestone the other day. There are springs on my rear disc brakes that release the tension from the brakes when you disengage the parking brake. My springs have become weak and don't fully release the brakes when I disengage my parking brake. This causes my rear wheels to squeak sometimes because the pads ride on the rotors. Could be your problem. The springs are like $14 each at the dealership :rolleyes: and around $20 total from GMPartsdirect.com. Haven't bought new ones yet though.

OKAY...

As I just pulled up from work, with the engine still on and sitting in the garage, when I turned the wheel to the left and to the right I could hear the noise still...though even quieter than when the car is moving.

Okay guys...let me know what it sounds like.

Noise is getting a little louder and is louder when turning left than turning right...
