• Define "Mounting" and "Balancing", please

Mounting is when the tire shop puts the rim on a machine to put the tire on, am I right?

What exactly is balancing? I am ordering my wheels and tires mounted and balanced from the tirerack.com, but doesn't the wheel have to be ON the car to be balanced (or is that front suspension alignment I'm thinking of?)?

All I basically want to do is put the wheels on myself when I get them, and not have to pay someplace to bolt them on when I can do it myself with a torque wrench.

Balancing is when they spin yout rim with the tire on it to make sure it's balanced....correct me people if I'm wrong. With tirerack mounting and balancing, you will be able to just bolt those puppies right up when they get in.

what rims and ties did you order, just out of curiousity

      Both of you are correct.

Mounting is simply the act of putting the tire on the wheel itself. Balancing is adding counterweight to the wheel to make it ride smoothly and wear evently.

When you order a set from tirerack like that you should be able to mount them up at home without a problem - switcho/chango as they say!

Nice choice - keep in mind the borbet T's look great but are sadly not large enough on the inside for bigger brakes.

However the stock braking system is great and if you have no need to upgrade that would be the only problem with em
