The "package" is different for different years. Look at the Technical Database. I intend to have the "93" version shortly.

Tranny mount, 32/21 Bars with poly endlinks, Rear LCAs, PHR ... suits me just fine. I'm sort the front control arms (bushings) ... which I might do with poly one day, but if anything i'll likely choose something tubular. But that's when I have some money ...

I heard from a friend of a friend that it's better to take it piece by piece instead of buying the whole packadge.

If you do this, you should put the springs on at the same time as the bars. Bars and springs work together and GM designed these as a set.

V6Bob is right - the swaybars aren't everything you need. IMO Our springs are too soft to begin with for seruous performance driving, and of course the shocks are too soft to use with anything higher than a stock spring safely/effectively. 1LE springs appear to have a very good springrate and should balance the bars nicely.

I need to clarify something, "1LE" springs are different by year.

The 32/21mm sways came with the stock V8 linear rate springs. (1993)

The 32/19mm sways used a linear higher rate front and a variable rate rear spring. (1994-2000)

Let me clarify also....
When i said the full 1LE package i didn't mean buy the one from SLP, i meant all the individual components. Mainly springs, shocks, swaybars, mounts, panhard, control arms, and bushings. I think i'm leaving something out.

Robert i'd want the '93 version as well. At least for the swaybars, isn't that the only thing that differs?

Thing is, i like road racing more than dragging, hence why i've never taken mine to the track to get a 1/4 mile time. But I just wonder if i get all the above mentioned, if i'll have enough traction for the occasional tear down the 1/4 (provided i have good wheel/tire combo).

I don't mind the ride being harsh. I just want the car to handle well for road racing.

I can honestly say for you then that you need to definetly get some seat time. Nothing lets you know faster what you and your car is lacking (skills and mods wise) faster than actual track time.

There is noway to determine the issues you have driving hard on the street either [img]smile.gif[/img]

Why do you want the '93 setup? Here's why I ask.

From '93-95 the 1LE was intended for SCCA Showroom Stock racing only. You couldn't get air conditioning, the windows were manual, etc. GM made only 10-20 '93 1LE's, with a first try at a race setup for the new 4th gen. In '94 they changed the suspension setup, presumably based on feedback from racers and/or track testing. I can't see GM slowing their race car down, so I assume the '94-on setup is better.

Since I brought it up, I want it because I will NOT use variable rate springs, which is what GM did in the rear on the 94+ 1LE.
