Short...I know you have 18 inch rims on your ride. I'm guessing those are 35 series rubber...

    what offset are those rims?

I have to pick up my new 18 inch chrome c5's tonight, they have a 54mm offset and am getting 275/35/18's for it.

I don't wanna rub, im scared I might. I got the suspension tech springs 1.7 drop in rear, 1.2 in front. Todd from discount tire over on ls1.com said i'll be okay. Just wondering what your offset is. Also if you had to make any modifications to make them fit.

right now I'm running 245/50/16's on my car and I have no issues. I'm pretty sure my new tire/rim package is the same height, if not smaller.

Anyways let me know, thanks for your time

he can correct me if im wrong, but i believe he originly had 225 width tires on his wheels, so you are talkin a whole different ballgame (at least as far as width).
