  • Brake Line Sizes

I want to order a roll of the steel brake lines from JC Whitney. However, I'm not sure what size I need. They offer two sizes. 1/4 in and 3/16 in.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks

Most of your brake lines are stainless steel to begin with, in fact theyre solid tubing.

The only stainless lines you would need if you want to change them out would be the ones going to the calipers. Earl's makes a custom set, many of our sponsors sell nice ones. I personally think the normal rubber kind are fine, as they are lined with a webbing inside and don't "swell" like these marketing people want you to believe.

I mean the brake line that runs from the master cylinder along the frame on the drivers side of the car. I believe it runs parallel to the fuel lines too.
