• disconnecting front sway bar for drag racing

If I just remove the 4 nuts that hold the bar to the body in front, will this help in the weight transfer? Or do I have to disconnect the endlinks? They seem so rusty that I'm afraid I'll break the bolt. (I did it on the rears during the rear end swap)

    Thanks for any help

You should just remove the whole bar. Not only is it safer, it is a weight reduction mod.

I agree, unless your autocrossing you dont need it on but if you dont want to take it off you will need to loosen the endlinks only once they are off you will notice a difference at the track. They probably will break, but I pikced up new bolts and poly bushing kit a t napa for $7

hehe I think the front sway is nice for daily driving

Jsut yank the thing and yes oyu have to undo the endlinks.

You can either undo the endlinks or you can remove the entire fornt sway. Both way you needto lose the endlinks. I would remove it, not much harder and less weight off the nose. Its not too hard, whats a real ***** is when you go to the drags on a friday night, then put the sway back on for an autocross at 9am on saturday then yank it again for wednesday night drags.

I would have it on the car unless drag racing... I've driven without it and I don't like my car when it handles like a big bertha Buick.

No. The big bertha Buick handles _much_ better. This is more like a pickup truck with 1000 lbs in the bed.

It is seriously unsafe to drive without a front bar on the street. Crazy oversteer, and not just at high speed.
