  • tire pressure... was "barking tires"

continued from a previous thread that got locked due to childish posts....
for what it's worth, i run 27 all around on my yokohamas. i have found that running more (30) gets me center tire wear and running much less (like 25) gets me shoulder wear (inner and outer) and more noise.
sorry to repost a dead topic Fin, but i think this is a good topic... let's hope it doesn't turn in to a pi$$ing contest like the previous post that got locked.
guys, take the personal insults to email or other private forum. we don't want to read through all that crap just to locate valuable information.

I run 34-35 in my factory tires. 245-16's, Goodyear. On the second set, with 72000 miles total. The local Walmart dropped them down to 30 when I had them rebalanced a few weeks ago. They suggested I would wear the centers down too quickly.

I tried it their way for a while, but didn't like the understeer - too mushy. Ran them back up to 32, still too mushy, back at 34 now. I haven't had any abnormal wear problems (unless you count a little shoulder wear from hard cornering...)

I got some fun, light oversteer while it was at 30psi, under power in first gear.
