i don't know what i've got on my wheels now--they are all the same--goodyear somethin or others--but they aren't the crappy stock tires. i want to get some tires that will help my traction a good bit in the rear. i'm thinkin 245/50/16 but i don't want to mess up my speedo or hurt my gas mileage and i want to leave my front tires that i've got on there now--235/55/16. what do you guys think?

I have used Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires in the past and they were excellent! Gave very good grip on wet and even snowy roads. If you want do not want to have the same size tire all around then I would try this combo:
Front: 235/55/16
Rear: 255/50/16
This way the differnace is only 0.5% to fast. (i.e. when you would normally go 60mph your now traveling at 59.7mph)
That should be about as close as you can get to stock. The 245/50/16 would be about 2% to fast.
Well shorter tires in the back, like the 245's, will actually yield a better overal gear ratio in the rear, so your actual multiplication would be taller. Im dotn know the math, but i guess your 3.23 woudl be a 3.25 or something. Plus i liek the shorter sidewall. Bottom line either will work and more tire means more hook.
