• kvr blanks?

My front end is shaking really bad when braking. I was looking in the modifications encyclopedia and am thinking about getting the KVR blanks from fast toys. Is it ok to replace just the front rotors? DO I need to replace the pads too? The pads I have are brand new. Also, would you recomend cadium plating. Anyone have any pics of these rotors plated or non? Thanks for the help :D

Cadmium plating is for looks, it keeps the unrubbed parts of the rotors from getting rusty -its up to you on that.

You will be fine replacing rotors, especially if your pads are fairly new. You don't need new pads, and the KVR blanks are really good quality rotors.

ok, does anyone have any pictures of plated and non plated? If I just replace the front rotors is it gonna look stupid with the back rotors being stock?

If you don't get crossdrilled rotors, you won't be able to tell the difference between a KVR and a non KVR.

The plating will just make the center hub and outside edge look pretty - and no it won't look stupid to just replace the fronts .

I disagree. Even if the pads were brand new. Once they have been run on bad rotors the scratches on the old rotors will transfer over to the pads. If you change to KVR rotors without changing the pads all the old marks that were on the old rotors have gone to the pads and the pads will transfer them to the new KVR rotors. You will ruin your new rotors very quick if you do this. I know because I had my rotors turned and reused the pads. This is what happend. I highly recomend changing pads specially if you are buying KVR, they are expensive enough you dont want to have to do this again. Change the pads.
