My Camaro sounds like a v8 yet people know its not when they see the brake in the back obisouly. I go for looks cuz i know a v6 camaro... is nothin to brage about. But who knows the answer to my question?

Relpacing Drum brakes with calipers huh? That'd mean you'd have to replace the rear end.<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/512325\" target=\"_blank\">2004 Silver Impala</a> Faster than my Firebird<br /><br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=282862\" target=\"_blank\">3.4L Red 1995 Pontiac Firebird</a><b> For Sale</b>

You don't need to replace the whole rear end. You need to do a decent amount of work, but don't need to replace it all. It may cost about the same either way though.
You need to change the brake backing plates, the solid brake lines, add the calipers and rotors, and change the e-brake cables. To swap the backing plates, you have to open the rear end and remove the axles. This is the main reason you see more people just buy a complete V8 rear. It is probably easier to replace the entire rear than do the brake swap. Plus you get the added bonus of a LSD from a V8 rear, as well as possible gear upgrades. You can find good deals on just the calipers and rotors many times, but the backing plates can be harder to come by.
