  • Brakes Binding!!

I just drove my 02 camaro back from Tx to NY, about a 2000 mile trip. I noticed as toward the end of the trip that the back wheels started making a grinding noise when accelerating or just coasting. I thought for sure it was my brakes, i have almost 30,000 miles now. So when i replaced the pads i noticed the inside pad was heavily worn while the outside pad almost seemed new. I replaced them anyways, but this didnt fix the noise. I am wondering if theres something wrong w/ my rotors, or if my calipers are messed up. If you have any ideas let me know thanks!

You need to take the caliper mount off and regrease the "Sleeve Bolts". They allow the caliper to compress and decompress properly without binding.
Look inside of a Chilton's or Haynes Manual, and it will show you what I'm talking about.
If you have the green Chilton's Manual (Book # 28284), the sleeve bolt diagram is in section 9-16, fig. 22
