so my front rotors have grooves it seems like. not sure they have ever been replaced and my car has close to 100k on it. what mileage u suggest i should replace them at? I have noo signs of needed anything new either, everything is working just fine......and ive heard of places sanding the rotors down to eliminate the grooves but if im gonna do a rotor job im just gonna replace the entire rotor....any suggestions would be great

if u brake, and it throbs noticably, get them replaced. otherwise, leave them alone unless u wanna get an aftermarket brake system or setup.

Depending on the rotors and how deep the grooves are, you can have them turned. They will put them on a brake lathe and cut them down until they are smooth. The rotors will have a minimum thickness measurement stamped into them, so don't worry about them getting cut too thin - the lathe operator will measure them after he cuts them. You can get this done at any brake/muffler shop and just about any auto supply store. If you have the rotors turned (or if you replace them) make sure you get new pads.
