so my front rotors have grooves it seems like. not sure they have ever been replaced and my car has close to 100k on it. what mileage u suggest i should replace them at? I have noo signs of needed anything new either, everything is working just fine......and ive heard of places sanding the rotors down to eliminate the grooves but if im gonna do a rotor job im just gonna replace the entire rotor....any suggestions would be great

Depending on the rotors and how deep the grooves are, you can have them turned. They will put them on a brake lathe and cut them down until they are smooth. The rotors will have a minimum thickness measurement stamped into them, so don't worry about them getting cut too thin - the lathe operator will measure them after he cuts them. You can get this done at any brake/muffler shop and just about any auto supply store. If you have the rotors turned (or if you replace them) make sure you get new pads.Mike
2001 Camaro
Light Pewter Metallic Convertible
AU0,A31,C60,DG7,F41,GU6,K34,L36,M30,T82,T96,UN0
If it can\'t be expressed in figures, it is not science; it is opinion.
