• Noise/Panhard rod

Once upon a time my car hit a curb while cornering (lost traction). I had to have the axle replaced. Ever since then, there is a clanking noise in the rear of the car. It is noticeable only when I hit a bump. Also, I was checking it out the other day, and I noticed the panhard rod was bent. Is it supposed to be straight, should I replace it? Any help in diagnosing this would be appreciated.

Looks like I will be replacing that soon. Would anyone recommend going with the Hotchkis Total Vehicle System for road use? Would it be better to use Eibach Springs, or the Hotchkis that come in the kit?

Are you talking about the upper or lower PHR?

The lower one is straight, the upper is bent.

i bent my axle, lower PHR, and LCAs. I replace all of the above. The lower PHR IS supposed to be straight. I know that for a fact, because i put it in. I have replace my axle, lower PHR, and LCAs, when i hit LARGE bumps, i here a clanking noise coming from the rear right. so if yurs is the same noise as mine, replacing the PHR prolly wont fix it, but you NEED to replace it anyway. Check your torque arm aswell, i think mine was bent in the accident and is still bent but im not sure. that bent bar is yur PHR, its supposed to be straight....

Ok, I have place an order for a new one. I just fixed the clanking noise last night. The anti-rattle clip inside my caliper was broken. I took that out, and no more clanking!!
