OK.. If you are lowered.. spend the money for an adjustable PHR..

I went w/ rod ends on mine.. one because i found a good deal.. two because deflection is the enemy.. and three becuase they will last a long time on the PHR..

And.. I dont belive in LCA's.. but thats just me..

just drag racing, poly ends will be fine. adj. phr for lowered cars. phr is more for cornering than drag racing. billet aluminum or chrome-moly for weight reduction. for a more streetable car, rubber/poly combo bushings would be good, or rod-end setups, but rods tend to be louder.

The things which affect drag racing in a good way:

A Big rear swaybar
Nice LCAs, poly is fine
Torque arm might help
No front swaybar
Soft springs with plenty of travel (old V6 ones work nicely).

i was gonna say stock springs make the car squat nicly off the line and get better traction, or at least thats what i tell myself

b/c now i have lowering springs on and it spins more when i gun it, even w/ 315's in the rear.

Uhh, Dominic...

I think that, for most people on this board, "drag racing" means they take their only street car to the strip occaisionally.

Given that, you might at least mention that driving a car on the street with exactly that setup borders on insanity. It's a fine setup for a pure drag car.

Get LCAs. Boxed if you want to be serious and don't care if your suspension binds in turns, or 1LE if you want all around performance.

My 2.0 60' on street tires was with 1LE LCA's, no other suspension mods.

My 1.8 60' on ET streets, also 1LE LCA's only.

Both on the stock converter too.

The control arm itself is not really compressing on launch. The bushings are. The 1LE bushings are much stiffer and control that compress/unload oscillation that leads to wheelhop.

The part number is in the tech database. Some of our sponsors can probably get it for you (I got some 1LE stuff from Leon at lmperformance), and www.gmpartsdirect.com definitely can get it.

In my earlier note, I said no other suspension mods, but I did have the 1LE swaybars. I don't think they contributed much, if anything, to the drag launch though. Just wanted to correct my suspension comment...

Good point, I agree. I would never drive a car setup like this... but if you're a die hard and trailer your V6 ... well you get my drift.
