  • Weight Distribution?

What's the weight distribution on our cars? I've read somewhere that V6 fbodies have awesome weight distribution, because we have a lighter motor in a car that was designed for heavier V8. And also because our motor is set so far back in the engine compartment.

Actually our dist isnt much different, but its around 54/46 to 52/48...

This is one reason I race with a full tank of fuel (non dragging)... it evens out the weight dist a lot.

our motor doesn't sit as far foreward as the ls1 due to having 2 less cylinders, plus the iron block weighs more per unit area than aluminum, so LS1's have a little more weight in front than we do. this is great for us like u said. dropping some weight off the front w/ fiberglass hood, lightweight k-member and suspension, ect. will help balance the car out even more.
