anyone disassembled 98+ front & rear calipers before? if i pop the seals out, do the pistons just fall out, or is there more to it?

You may find it easier to pop the pistons and then pull the seals. Blow a little compressed air in through the brake line fitting (a little - don't launch the pistons into orbit).
