• Best brake rotors?

I want to change my rotors, what are the best ones to buy?

What about drilled/slotted rotors? I like the way they look, but why don’t I see them on more cars?

    Thanks guys ;)

Well, the best rotors are probably Baer or Brembo, which will also cost you a fortune, and are hardly needed for a V6 Camaro IMHO (unless you do lots of driving at 140+MPH speeds which would also require you to have your governor go POOF). Thing about cross-drilled rotors, are if you don't get some that are really high quality (also known as EXPENSIVE), if you do lots of heavy braking, they have a tendency to crack, which isn't good... heh. I myself have PowerSlot rotors, which run around $1150 per front rotor, $105 for rear. They aren't incredibly expensive, yet they're rather high quality. I know numerous people who own them, and none have had any complaints. I coupled them with Hawk HPS brake pads btw. I'll admit I'm a hell of a speeder and street racer, so I'd say I do a fair share of heavy braking, and they've saved me from many collisions when the random idiot pulls out infront of you or switches lanes infront of you on the freeway! Basically, you don't see slotted/cross-drilled rotors on more cars, because most people never upgrade their brakes. If they warp, they get them machined, if they squeek, they get new stock pads. Also, with slotted rotors, even if someone does have them, they're not as noticable as cross-drilled. You can barely notice my slotted rotors unless you're specifically looking at them. They seem to have good cooling though, as with all the heavy braking I do they don't warp, which was the major problem I have with my stock rotors. My stock's warped around 7000 miles, got them machined (cuz they were still under warranty at the time) and then they warped again around 9000 miles. I drove with them warped for a while, took it in to the dealer, they were gonna charge me $200 to machine the front rotors and put new pads on them, and $100 for the rear's! I was like screw that, for just a little more I can get much better brakes. Talk about a rip off.

      $1150 isn't incredibly expensive  .

someone posted on CZ28.com a while back that the Powerslot rotors are stock rotors with grooves on them. Have you heard of that. I know, if it's true then it shoulda warped.
