I was driving home today in my '94 3.4L Bird and when i went to turn my power steering cut out. i just kinda forced it the 1st half of the turn, but half-way through the turn it started working just fine. The steering didnt give me anymore trouble the way home, but i thought i heard the engine scream and/or whine. Any suggestions?

The pump may have momentarily frozen. Or the belt may have slipped (if the pump froze, the belt would slip then as well). Check the fluid - make sure it is full and not discolored. I've seen a similar problem when the pump cavitated because of a low fluid level.Mike
2001 Camaro
Light Pewter Metallic Convertible
AU0,A31,C60,DG7,F41,GU6,K34,L36,M30,T82,T96,UN0
If it can\'t be expressed in figures, it is not science; it is opinion.
