• Squeak in rear

The rear has been squeaking only when going over sharp, abrupt bumps. I thought replacing the shocks would help...still there. Then I sprayed the sway bar bushings with silicone...still there. Anything else in the rear it could be? It doesn't do it when I bounce the car in the driveway and I can't find it hen I'm underneath.

Take the panhard rod off and grease the bushings. Mine squeaked too, and I used high-temp grease on them.
High-temp grease is a bit thicker than regular grease, and I have a gallon of it.

Also, check/grease the bushings on the LCA's.

Silicone spray won't do anything, even though its to help preserve rubber. When I first got my car, I sprayed every rubber part I saw on the suspension with it. Then it started squeaking as soon as I drove it. I took it to the dealer and blamed it on the car :D it was still under warranty then. It turned out to be the sway bar bushing, cuz the tech took off the bar and drove around without it. Recently, this past yr, my suspension was starting to squeak, but mostly when its cold and over speed bumps or the like. Well, I greased the frt sway bushing and rr sway bushing. Now when it's cold I go over a bumper and there is nothing.

If you plan on greasing the sway bushings anyways. Try spraying WD-40 into there and soak it, then drive it to see if it goes away. if it does, then grease it. If not, then wrong part and move on to the next. But don't do every suspension piece all at once. Just do the sway first, then the LCA, then the Panhard Rod.

I used WD40 after I put silicone on the bushing that caused the squeak, and it last only 2 weeks, so it works temprarily.

Thanks, at least the WD40 will help me find it and grease the right thing.

i had a squeak in the rear over speed bumps too, took it to midas and he put it on the lift, took off the sway bar bushings and grease the hell out of them both, squeak gone... its amazing how much "nicer" your car feels when there arent any squeaks! it makes you feel like its perfect

Also, might want to check the obvious:

            Is your spare tire tight?
