I have Kumho Ecsta 712 255/50/16's and I love them. They track the road a bit, but other than that they're a great tire. Excellent wet weather traction, I should know, it only rains here every single day.
BTW 255/50/16 is the largest that will fit on our rims.

"I would never run anything narrower than the P245/50"
Hmmm.... Like most things it's tradeoffs. I've used both.
245 or 255/50s corner slightly better at max cornering speeds, more because they tend to have softer rubber than because of the width. They have slightly better steering response, mostly because they have stiff sidewalls. They look better.
Narrower tires ride better. They nibble less over road irregularities, making them less tiring to drive on a long trip. They tend to last longer, because they are made of harder rubber.
If you want the look and feel of a high performance car, or for competition, wider tires are an obvious choice. If you use your car for serious cross country trips and/or spend a lot of time behind the wheel, narrower tires have their attractions. Mostly you give up looks, and performance at cornering speeds we don't spend a lot of time at on the street.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
