  • Will Vette calipers bolt up to ours?

Have an opportunity to get some low mileage vette calipers, complete set. Will they fit on ours or no? I'd also upgrade the brake pads too. Thanks.

look under racing brakes - basically vette calipers + info about them.

I personally like the LS1 brakes, but if I could get a set of stronger calipers I definetly would.

I would hold off from getting the vette calipers, depending on how much you are getting them for. Even though it may be more expensive the Baer or Wilwood brake systems are much better plus you have many different options on the type of calipers you can get. Such as 2,4, or 6 piston calipers plus you get larger rotors and everything comes in a kit or seperate dependent on your needs. The stuff may cost 600 dollars but ya got to figure in the cost of replacing your stock pads and rotors every couple of months as compared to the lasting effects of these other types of brake equiptment. Thats not to say that not to get the vette calipers if you can get them cheap of enough, but that its always good to know your options first.

                1. Read my sig.

                2. They are off of a 99 vette.

I pretty much don't think i'll do this, because it will be better long term to get slotted rotors and all that good stuff, etc.
