  • torque arm bushing install...

    does the old one pop out as easily as it looks? jsut take torque arm off and pop old one out and put in poly one and hook torque arm back up?

    You will have to take the whole mount off of the rear of the tranny because the rubber one is riveted into the metal casing. You will drill the rivet heads off and the rubber will come off. Then, when both sides of the "clamshell" are removed, you can slide the poly mount in and bolt it up. One piece of advice....when putting the mount back in, put the bushing in place, between the casings, and start the top bolt that holds the clamshell without the end of the torque arm in place...i.e., don't slide the torque arm into the bushing yet. Get the bolt started slighty, but don't tighten it down too much or you will not be able to get the torque arm in. Once the threads are started, put the torque arm in the rest of the way and finish tightening the bolts. Good luck!
