Is this a bad or good price? I am getting them at BIG-O tires. I heard these tires wear out really really fast is this true?

Well tire wear does depend on how you use them. I think 30,000 out of a set of tires is doing well Some people think 60,000 is a bare minimum of wear, but I tend to abuse tires...

$552 doesnt sound to bad. Thats 138/tire installed including tax, so its about right considering theyre $100/ea.

Add shipping and lifetime rotate and balance, it adds up

If you dont want them, checkout the Yokohama ES100s which I got... theyre better tires IMO but cost around $20 more per tire.

Either way you're doing yourself a favor getting rid of the GAs and I think you'll be much happier with your car

I paid about 600 for mine. But that was with an alignment. I think it was $550 for the tires and getting them mounted.

I think you should just forgot about new tires. Sliding through turns in your car is too much fun.

I had Kumho 712's on my Beretta, they did really well. They suck in the snow though, so be prepared. ;) I ran the crap out of them, the fronts were about 50% after a year of hard driving (and burning both front tires through first gear several times!) but the rears were still like new. (no I didnt rotate them like I was supposed to) I'm not sure how they will perform with the different dynamics of the Camaro, but I'm willing to try when I get new tires! (for some reason, goodyear eagle T/R's arent doing it for me.. go figure)

Bang for buck, 712's cant be beat, period.

I paid 490 for mine out the door (245/50/16) so that doesn't sound too bad

Just picked up a set with 1000 easy miles on them for $65 each, just need to get them mounted when my RE950's wear out in a couple more months of autocrossing.

Guy moved to bigger rims, and got Eagle F1's - he wished he could have put the Kumho's back on!
