  • WHEEL & TIRE HELP!

Okay SO I ordered 17x8 CENTERLINE RIMS, with DUNLOOP Performance SP 5000 tires, now i have no idea what this means

235-45R-17 but that is the tire the guy recommended... so these are 9.25" in width... is that good or do i need 10" in thickness??

i have been reading a lot and many people have been telling me that thicker tires look cooler, so how thick are these tires? 8 inches? 9 inches? 10 inches??

The tire will work, but it will look like your stock GA's on stock wheels.. there wont be a bulge and you might have to really watch the curbs cause the lip wont be protected. I am not for certain if the tire is the correct number. But it needs to be around 25-26 inches tall. Personally I would try to find a 255 width or a 245 at the least. It would look better and maybe cost a few bucks more at the most.

just looked... 255/45/17 is the optimum tire size for those wheels...

P255/45R17 should have been the size you ordered, or even P275/40R17.

P235/45 is going to be very short and will not work well at all. Its going to look ricey, throw off the speedometer, and will have no more traction width than the stock tires.

The guy at the store where I bought the rims/tires says that if i get anything other than this it will throw off my speedo.

What do you think if, for my 17x8" centerlines I get

        245-45R-17

        instead of 235-45R-17 ?

245 would work but i suggest you go for 255 youll get better traction more wheel protection and how much does your speedo matter
