• do anyone else's rear shocks seem...

my car has 96k miles and as far as i know the original rear shocks. the rear of the car groans and moans a lil over bumps and squeaks... i think they're toast basically but should i go with new stock shocks or should i go for some kind of cool aftermarket thing?

also, how long are shocks supposed to last?

It depends on what you want to do with your car. If you want to upgrade your suspension shocks are a pretty good start. If you just want to keep it simple and cheap just go for the take-offs.

I have the take-offs...I need to install them already! They've been sitting in my room for 6 months...HAH!

My car makes all sorts of noises over bumps too. I know my bushings are bad too though... :(

My car has 126K and my back shocks were creaking/squeaking over small bumps and a metal on metal smack on big bumps. I just replaced the rears with the SLP take-offs and will put the fronts on this weekend.

So did the rear take-offs help with the noises?

90k+ miles on stock shocks is way too much. I recommend 50k at most. Time to change.

What would you consider 120K on stock shocks then My car rolls all over the place.

Yes and no. The noise is significantly reduced, But I think the bushing on my sways are going. Now it only squeeks when I go over a big bump
