• put my new rims on, got a question

I Just put my SS rims back on, and it is riding really funny, it will pull to the right every time i slow down, and also at top speeds it doesn't like to go in a straight line, kinda moves around. I'm am going to get a tune up and front end looked at. Did anyone else have this problem when they went with bigger wheels and tires??? i have 275/40/17's on right now.

Did you get the wheels balanced? Have your alignment checked, if you dont, your tires will start to wear on one side a lot more than the other.

Well, if it is always pulling to one side then it might be an alignment issue, but if it just "wanders" then it is probably just the tires following the imperfection in the road. Wider/performance tires are known for this. I know mine wander all over the place on crappy roads, just something to deal with. And yes, they do it more underbreaking.

Try swappng the two front tires. If it still pulls to the right, you know it isn't one of the tires.

I had my alignment done recently and even after it was done there was still a slight pull. Swapped the tires and it went away. The shop called it a "radial pull". I have heard this before, but have always thought it was an excuse shops made up when they can't get a car to drive straight But the swap did cure my problem so there is something to it.

I have no problems! I got a REALLY good balance done though. Check your alignment and swap tires if neccisary just like everyone has already said.

Yeah I have a lot of traction! . I can't make the tires spin too much, they just "hop".

i have a problem with my car pulling to the right, tires are balanced, and i just got a full alignment done, so could it be an imperfectoin in the tire?
thats what im thinking it boils down to is one tire grabs a bit more than the other since its all been recently balanced and aligned...
although i dunno how likely this is...

Would 245 50r16's fit on the 94-97 ss rims?

Jhonathan - swap your front tires (L to R, R to L) and see if the pull continues. If not, then you probably have a radial pull. Atleast that is what I have been told before.
