To make it shor, I am having problems with my brakes and i was told to bleed my abs system. Does anyone know how to and the order to do it in..

First bleed all 4 brakes... you always want to bleed the longest tube first (rear right passenger) and work your way back.

If that doesn't work for you and you *really* need to bleed the ABS then let me know... hopefully this is not the case.

Yeah i know how to bleed the brakes properly. Start with farthest from the brake fluid pool and make your way to the closest. I have done that probably 9 or 9 times but when i asked the guy at NAPA he said my abs would have to be bled. So if you could help me i would rally appreciate it.

The ABS system has a "modulator" (the thing that pumps the brakes if they lock up) which may need to be bled. Unfortunately, it's a job for a pro with special equipment.

My 2002 service manual has a section on "ABS Automated Bleed Procedure". First you have to hook up a scan tool and connect to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). From there you go to Special Functions and then Automated Bleed. After bleeding the base brake system you follow the instructions on the scan tool.

you need a tech II, about a $2500 tool that technichians use.

There are a few ghetto methods on ls1.com and ls1tech.com that might work.

But personally.. its just nice to know somebody with a tech II
