I am going to have to lower my car, 1 or 1 1/2 inches in a couple of weeks when my new rims arrive.
What is the cheapest way to do it? What do I need to get besides lowering springs to have it lowered? I heard it is even possible to cut the existing springs, but this has sideeffects?
Can I do it with my dads help or should I have a shop do it for me?
Do I only need lowering springs, or do i need new shocks, sway bars??
I was reading that if i lower my car, it will roll more easier unless I upgrade my sway bars? Is this true or is it a sales pitch so we spend more money?

lol, i've done that b4. neways....u'll wanna get some new shocks w/ the springs cuz the stock shocks probly won't be able 2 deal w/ the new increased spring rate. if u want adjustablinity and cheapness, u can get HAL spring/shock coil-over set. not the best out there, but they're cheap. good shocks would be koni yellow's or reds. springs, i like eibach cuz they have 2 or 3 different lowering springs for our cars.

i measured my wheel whells and 1.25's would be enough i think cuz i still need clearence..

2" looks bad on 16" wheels i think. looks good on 17" or 18" wheels though.

i am just thinking 2" drop would be too much and i wouldnt have too much ground clearance

you don't have much ground clearance, but you have some obviously. it all depends on where you drive your car. i live in an apt complex with lots of speed bumps. a 2" drop would leave little dents all over the underside of my car. but anywhere else i drive in this town i would do fine.
once you get your car lowered too, you need to familiarize with the ride height, that way when you approach something (such as speed bump) that could cause harm to your car, you will know if you can make it over it or not. i have 2 friends with 2" drops on their camaro's. one has 16" wheels, the other has 18" wheels, and they are doing just fine.

You think so? I have a 2" drop on my ride with 16" wheels. Check out my webpage and give me an honest opinion.

did you space OUT your wheels? that's really the reason i think it usually looks bad, because the 16" wheels are usually buried underneath the wheel hub area of the car. yours looks good though i think, but i am curious if you have spacers or not?
put eibach pro kit lowering springs on my car and it lowered it about an inch took the rubber spacer out lowered it another .5 inch... many say don't do that ,but it is my car and no problem yet.. what is the worst that could happen the spring fly thru the back window...
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
