• 255s on rear?

I need to new rear tires and was planning on sometime going fromthe stock 235-55-16s to somewhere around 255. I am only planning on buying rear tires right now and is there any problem with just puttin 255s on the rear and leaving 235s on the front? I guess rotating the tires would be wierd, but other than that?

Well.. you wouldn't rotate the tires unless you wanted it to look stupid

There is nothing wrong with this and it actually looks kinda sporty.

The only thing is that no one makes a 255-55 tire. Is it alright to change the sidewall to 50 on the back because everyone has high performance 255 or 245-50-16?

The 255-50 is almost exactly the same as the 235-55, I'm running 255-50s all around.

You wouldn't want to go with to large of a tire in the front because it would hinder your turning radius. I wouldn't go any larger than a 235 after that your tire might start rubbing on the inside tire well and additional cause unwanted tire wear.

any larger than 235 on the front?

Have you never seen a Z28 or SS?

I have 275/40/17s on the fronts. Not close to rubbing.
