• SLP Strut Tower Brace...will i notice the difference?

STILL waiting for my order from SLP to arrive. Upon arrival I will be installing their Strut Tower Brace.

I have heard throughout this board that the STB on a car w/ T-tops makes no difference whatsoever.

Is this true? I'd like to know, if it doesnt then I guess I spent 100$ to make my engine bay look "pretty".

It makes a significant improvement in the front chassis making the car turn much much better!

Trust me you'll feel the difference!

I don't really see why hardtops would feel it more than ttops? They both should flex the same at the strut mounts when turning right?

no t-tops would feel it more because it has onlt 1 bar going back over the top of the car while the hardtop cars have 2, one over each window. the stb will help cornering and braking a lot I've heard.

you really have to push the car I would assume.

I do nto think t-topps or convert, or hardtop would make much of a didiference, its the front end of the chassis, not the middle where subframe connectors and a roll cage come inot play.

LOL!

Well, Patrick's mostly right. Hardtops actually have 3. Hardtops are t-top cars with an extra 2 bars over the windows to glue the fiberglass top down to. Check the link in my signature to see pictures of what I'm talking about.

I didn't notice any difference when I had the BMR STB on my stock suspension. Maybe now that I have 1LE and it's so much stiffer I would notice. Maybe.

Huge difference.
Each time I went to the track I would take mine off so I noticed a big difference

So you guys are running R compound tires or some sticky tires? I only had all season street tires on and they would loose grip before chassis flex came into effect. Maybe that's the reason.

I use the GA's but I can corner harder. I picked up about 5-10mph on curves.

I noticed a difference right away when backing out of my driveway after the install.

Definately worth the $100!
