  • belstien shocks H.D. (incorrectly installed?)

Hello, I am kindof in a stump with my shocks. This would be for the rear on my 2002 1FP87 Camaro coupe. I had these H.D. belstien shocks installed almost a year ago now and I just dont think somethings right with my ride. In regards to this, I also had the elbac sport springs installed with this.First of all,we all pretty much know the camaro of this year is sitting uneven, but I seemed to be haveing other issues also. As I'm traveling down the freeway,Lets say the speed limit,My car handles somewhat okay but has this teetering type affect on some surfaces.Example{ when the car bounces from bumps or whatever, mine does not have the even type bounce, more like a wobel feel, were the right front will bounce then left rear, then left front and ect. Kindoff a crisscross deal. I dont know, but I have been in alot of cars and never even felt nothing this weird. Please note: I had crashed my car nearly 16 months ago, but had repairs and supposaly everything was okay, I also have had other things installed on the car, but I wouldn,t think they are a factor with ride handling. Thanks for your time, ohh, 1 more small note: after I come to a complete stop and turn car off, before I get out, I here this creaking or squeaking type noise from underneath car, aprox. just center behind drive location.

Are you talking about the sound the converter/exhaust makes as it starts to cool?

If you bounce each corner of the car manually, do they all react the same?

The criss-cross wobble is a result of the crash and I am sorry. I had the same thing happen on my old 99 Tacoma truck - I traded it on a new 2000 Firebird V6 because of it.

I know the body shop will tell you it's straight, but I assure you that if it's wobbling criss-cross it is not a shock problem or alignment, its a frame issue.
