My wheels/tires are wider then my fender, so they stick out on the side. I want to lower my car, however I am curious what happens when I go over a speed bump, doesnt my tires/wheels bump up (so if i lower my car it will hit the side of my fender?)
Here is a pic of how it looks from the side. I am scared that if I lower it 1.25 i wiill only have 1" left and if i go over a speed bump it will rub/rip my body apart...
well when i got my rims i was told that these ones are made to fit a firebird/camaro (it even says that on their freakin website). the rims are only 8" wide tires are 9.5" wide.
I've seen a couple people roll their fender lips out a little bit to take care of the tire being outside. as far as it rubbing in the future, perhaps adjustable shocks, bigger rear swaybar, lca's w/ relocation brackets, and maybe if u wanna lower the car, u would look into a adjustable lowering kit.
2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
I think it looks normal, however P245/45R17s are not optimal in diameter... P255/45R17 is the size you should have went with (theyre taller by a small margin, same height as stock in fact).
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
