You don't want to go cheap with cross drilled. The cross drilling must be cast in or it's likely to crack. As a good (cheap) alternative, I'd suggest the power slot power stop rotors. They're about $100 a piece through Thunder and they're slotted and dimpled so they won't crack and coated so they won't rust. I put them on my Trans Am with new Hawk pads and love them so far.

Powerslots are decently priced and are good quality in my opinion. I have had them on my Camaro for quite a while and they have not cracked at all. I am also putting them on the Lincoln LS because I like them so much.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

So the power slot rotors work well. Has anyone experience rotor warping with these rotors? I will need new rotors and pads in a few months. I not sure what to get, but I had been looking at the power slot. I love the Baer eradispeed rotors on my 69 camaro, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much on my 96.

Mine are KVR Slotted with the coating. KVR says on their website that they have never had a pair of their rotors warp ever, even on race vehicles.
I also have the KVR Carbon pads.
I love them, less break dust than stock, but i still get some. The rotors are great, the pads i have yet to be thoroughly impressed with. I am going to try a different set of pads eventually, probably Hawk or EBC.

if your going with slotted rotors remember what the slots do...they slice your pad everytime they pass over them..so your gonna be buyin pads like crazy and have fun cleaning all the damn brake dust off your rims...just a heads up, cross drilled is better for that matter...
