Hi There,
I looked and researched into this for days on end, and found that Eihbach lowering springs are the best ones out there, they will drop our cars 1.25" all around. They cost around 200 dollars for a set.
For shocks, adjustable ones are the way to go. KONI makes great adjustable shocks...Shocks are very expensive, so lower your car first, and see how you like it, if it feels outta line then consider opting for shocks..

You know, me personally I looked in to the Eibach kit, and thought it might be too low (I think it was like 2.0 or 2.5" or something, never saw a 1.5")
But I did get the Hotchkis kit, and it dropped it 1.25", great look, not too low, not too high.
Take a look in the sig, to see how low 1.25" is (ground effects make it lower).1999 C5
2000 Ford Lightning
Don\'t hate me because I\'m awesome

just remember to get ur car aligned after u lower it, otherwise, u'll wear the tire unevenly. dominic has a great list of lowering springs on his webpage. i suggest koni shocks since they're made w/ such great quality. yellow one's will be just fine, but red ones might help more if ur into a more racing purpose for the car.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

i just put he h
&r sport springs and its a great ride but i also have diffrent shocks if you check my sig
i thing the H&R's are better beacuse they are linear unlike Eibach's standard progressive spring. I won't use anything but H&R springs on anything that I drive. H&R get \" As being is to becoming, so is pure itellect to opinion, so is science to belief, and understanding to the peception of shadows.\" - Plato

it looks pretty low now ... i would wear out the tires and go with a larger profile and more width ..i am going with a 335 35 17 when i wear the 315s out ....my tires need more sidewall .. my front tires look taller than the back tires ... maybe i expect too much ... sh@t $300. a tire it should be what you want.......

I wouldnt put 335/35/17's on there unless there is more clearance on the firebirds than the camaro's. I put them on my camaro and they rubbed like crazy. I took them off after ten minutes of driving. But hey, if 335's will wotk for you, I can give you a really good deal on a barely used set!!!

i used to have 335's in the rear before. and i can put 285's for sure its like a 3 dollar diffrence per tire i just wanted to see how it would be after i droped it. and there was no rub so YEAaa i can go BIGGER
as for whopassfbody question there is a large diffrence in spring rates the V8's have diffrent corner weights.
i only pay $136 for my 315's and $104 for my 275's
i got the hook up let me know if you are intrested in those prices i can hook u up
