Which bolt? Both the top nut and the bolt on the rear should come all the way off.

I am assuming that you mean the bolt that holds the bottom of the shock to the axle. YOu need to get a bolt that it as large as the ID of the shock eye or the axle mounting point (whichever is smaller. Then, get 3 washers that are relatively big like the stock ones and one lock washers for each side. You will need:
2 bolts (long enough to make it through the shock, past 3 washers, one lockwasher and the nut
6 flat washers
2 lock washers
2 nuts ( )

Make sure that there is a washer on either side of the shock and then on the backside of the axle mounting point.

If you have any questions, you know how to get ahold of me.
