  • Lowered my car, do I need shocks Now?

I lowered my 99 about 2 all around. Do I need different shocks? If so what's the best ?

KONI adjustable shocks are really good! You need shocks if you don't like how your ride feels. Shocks will cost you around 650-700 all around...

shocks are sorta a must on lowered cars unless the car is lowered when it is relatively new ie les than a few thousand miles.

i need shocks also but im not paying that much for some shock. i know you can get some from SLP. they are stock replacements but new for like 50 and change for all 4

Yes, absolutely need new shocks if you are looking for an improvement in handling.

Stock monotube shocks cannot handle stiffer springs, brand new or otherwise. (So don't get the SLP stock monotube replacements)

Best bang for the buck is probably revalved bilsteins.

I recommend going over to ls1.com and looking through the autox & roadracing forum. Lots of good info. You can get revalved bilsteins at stranoparts.com
