coil-over install???

ok, now, i've been to all the searches and my question has'nt been answered yet. what all is involved with a coil-over install. i mean everything, from the coil-over kit to shocks, even procedures. i called a local shop and they wanted over $300 to install... WTF! i know someone who put theirs on themselves, but it was a 94 celica. how different is it. do relocation brackets need to be installed as with lowering springs? HELP PLEASE! the main purpose of wanting them is the adjustable ride height feature. i want my car low, but be able to raise if i must (kansas weather SUX!) thanks for any help

All 4 corners require a spring compressor to install, the front requires one to uninstall the old ones. Then there is tuning the coilover setup, getting the ride height right on all 4 corners, etc.

$100-200 should be what it costs, if they want more walk away.

i wouldnt suggest putting springs on yourself unless you have a lot of experience and a compressor. people who didnt know what they were doing have died getting cut in half by springs.

Not true. The back springs come right out if you disconnect the shocks.
