  • Sam Strano - new hollow sway bars!

    From another F-body forum:

    QUOTE (sam@stranoparts.com @ Jan 21 2004)

Pricing for the bar is as follows:

Hollow 35mm front, 6mm wall including all new hardware: $199.
Hollow 22mm rear, 4 mm wall including all new hardware: $189.
When purchased as a set, the cost will be $379.00.

While the bars are going to cost more than an ST bar, you will get some perks back. First, shipping charges will be less than on a ST bar as these are much lighter and ship in a smaller box. $30-35 will easily cover a set to the furthest parts of the lower 48, and be less the closer to the east coast you live. Also, the set of 2 bars weighed in @ just under 20 pounds.

We are working out final details to get them built. If you are interested in one, just let me know (aside from those of you who have already). Again, please feel free to pass this along. The more the word gets out the better we'll all be. If we get enough orders, the price may come down a bit too.

I posted a couple questions to make sure the front bar clears the oversize oil filter on V6's.

The front bar looks like a great thing for us V6 people - lots of stiffness, light weight, and half the cost of the SLP hollow 35mm bar.

hmmm.. sounds promising.. at first i thought that it was jsut the suspension tequniques bar.. but.. i think ST = suspenstion techniques..

yeah.. thats alot of money over the 1le stuff.. but.. still a pretty dam good deal for custom bars IMO..

PST has bushings and brackets that will fit those bars.. they make GM D-style bushings in alsmot any size you want.. its insane..

and i think when he says "all new hardware"... i would imagine thats endlinks and bushings and what not..

Those prices do include bushings and endlinks.

The ST bar I mentioned is Suspension Techniques. It's solid and hella heavy.
