Well i worked on the car all damn day. The back was a joke, it was so easy. But i experianced major problem with the driver side frount...eveyone told me that i needed to detach the master cylinder and bleed the brakes, but i found a way around it, a long way, but a way none the less.
Anyways finished it in like 5 hours, looks nice.

congrats! I know what you mean about it being a pain in the a$$. I lowered mine myself. Hope you did the shocks and strunts at the same time! If not, you'll be doing this job again before too long to upgrade to something better!

Yeah, i just did the springs. But instead of putting the stock torque bolts back on the drivers side, i went ahead and put in normal bolts, this way it will be much easier next time around.

I did my springs first because I knew I wasnt gonna be able to get shocks done for atleast 6 months and I don't think I could have stared at my springs for that long without installing them. It was a pain the *** on the fronts because the bolt that holds the spring retainer on the passenger side strut was stripped and rusted, semi simple fix of cutting the bolt off and getting a new one, however my friends air compressor died and I had to use the spring compressor without an air wrench, talk about sore hands and forearms! If you have the right tools the job aint that bad, but using a regular wrench on a spring compressor is definatley not fun.

Well i don't know if anyone else has this problem but on my car there was a torque bolt on the drives side, and the thing is, that the torque bolt is located directly below the master cylinder, and by like ONE INCH! So i had to get it out creativly. A couple people told me the only way to do my car was to get the master cylinder off and bleed the brakes to put it back on, including 2 different chevy dealers. But i proved them wrong!

I have never heard of having to do anything with the brake system to get the springs in, got mine in fine, obviously just had to put the car on jack stands, take the wheels off, struts off, and get to it.

I just unbolted my master cylinder and pulled it away....only took like 3 minutes. Why didn't you just do that? It made things MUCH easier. I didn't bleed the brakes or anything though...wasn't necessary.

I was told that if i had to unbolt the master cylinder that i would have to bleed the brakes.

Nope, Floyd did it the same way I did. Unbolted it, made sure none of the stuff spilled out, took out the bolt. When I was done I put the master cylinder back in place. Didn't have to bleed the brakes.

Im still trying to understand why doing anything to do the brake system is necessary when lowering the car. I did mine fine without touchin any of that.
