I currently have Ceramix brand pads on my camaro, front and rear. Absolutely zero squeals, extremely low dust after a 100 mile drive (at least not enough to worry about cleaning), and decent wear. I don't do any hard autocross driving to be concerned about the brakes fading or getting a "spongy" feeling, as said once before with ceramic pads.
I bough an extra set of ceramic pads for my camaro and my wife's car too when the current ones finally wear out.
My opinion (if you aren't doing any autocross racing) get ceramic pads! I love mine!!
Only ones I've tried were from Advance Auto...I don't remember the brand off the top of my head (bad since I work there). But they have been trouble free since I bought them!

I use EBC Greenstuff on the front and Hawks on the rear. Probably a little overkill, but they work very nicely when that big-a$$ dog runs out in front of you.

Yes, but you can get other brands cheaper on ebay. Try here: http://search.ebay.com/camaro-cerami...ectZ1QQfromZR8
Ebay is for those who don't mind waiting a few days (or more) for shipping. If you need them asap, then go to NAPA or any other auto stores who have ceramic pads. The extra set I have is from CarQuest. Saved me about $40 as compared to Ceramix brand.
Autozone sold me Morse ceramic pads. So far they are good, they do squeal once in a while right after a rain, but for the most part very quiet and cheap...50 bucks.

Thanks for all the input guys. It seems like on other web pages I hear good stuff about the Cermamix "napa" brand also. If I do not do a big brake upgrade I might just put on some ceramic pads. :)
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
