What does this mean and what can it do for you. I've heard of people doing this to their Bilstein HDs. Thanks.

Having shocks revalved...

First, the simplified version.
Shocks work by forcing oil through small holes. This causes motion to be dampened.
The "small holes" are actually quite sophisticated, causing shock forces to vary in a certain way, depending on how fast the shock is moving.
Revalving changes the "small holes" and the shape of the shock speed/dampening force curve. It can make a generic shock better match your particular setup and driving needs (ie competition).
The NASCAR guys now all have a "shock engineer" who travels with the team.2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs

And for stock V6 springs, you really dont need the HD's revalved. I run the Bilstein HDs on my stock V6 springs and it's plenty of damping for them 2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
