• my baer rotors warped????

my rotors warped about 3 months ago when i was driving down from the mountains, the first time it was so bad i thought i cracked a rotor the lightest touch on the brake pedal sent my car into convoltions so i stoped and checked the rotor and they looked fine and their was no sing of my brake fluid boling so i drove home with out hit the brakes to much. The next day i drove around to see how bad they warped, it did not feel too bad it was their but not as bad as before.
I finally got around to calling baer and they told me it is because my EBC Green Stuff pads leaving a resedue and i should get stock pad and reseat them, so i asked him what about kvr or hawk pads because i dont want to put sh@ity pads on and the guy did not have a clue about what i was talking about he just kept saying stock pads.
So my question is is baer just retarded and just pulling my chain or should i get new pad and reseat them. all i have to say is

I have had my baers for almost 2 years now and haven't had a single problem with them...I have the Hawk pads before and then switched to Ceramic up front because of the dust and squeal. I have heard to stay away from EBC pads altogether though.

did you get in touch with baer about the rotors? they usually have really good customer service. they were great to me when i had a track kit on my old thirdgen. they even helped with finding pads that would be good for street driving and autocross.

ive got the KVR pads w/ KVR slotted rotors, and although they stop good (probably more due to the rotors than the pads), im still not happy with the dust they give off. significantly less than stock, but still not great. also, they do squeal sometimes.

id say try Hawk ones. im doin that when these pads are shot.

Baer uses stock oem pads with many of the brake systems. I just purchased their Serious Street kit for my 69 camaro and the kit comes with 2 piston aluminum calipers which are the same ones used on new camaro's. The kit included 11 inch eradispeed rotors and the brake pads are stock zr1 corvette pads. One selling point to their brake kits is that you can get replacement parts like rebuild kits or brake pads at any Chevy or Ford dealer. That's why he probably said get stock pads. I'm not sure of your set up exactly, but you could probably run the stock camaro brake pads or pads from a 4th gen corvette.

speedy, any reason you were told to stay away from EBC pads? they seem to stop my car great, and ive never heard a squeak from em and they seem to be lasting well

I have heard from some people that they have very bad dust for the wheels and that they are hard on rotors...I have had no problems with my current ceramic front pads and kevlar rears.

they dont really have bad dust and i dont think they have a transfer film, if they did you could see it when you washed your car. they would have heavyer rust some places then others
