Are they really that amazing? My buddy has a near stock Z28 with them on, just the kind that run down each side, and his car outhandles mine like a champ. Whenever i drive his car, i love taking exit and entrance ramps fast as hell, and i know my car couldnt handle the G's.
SLP has them (slponline.com)..bolt-on and weld-on ..and im pretty sure rksport.com has them too...i dont have them myself...i went with front and rear sway bars...DAMN did they make a difference...like you said...i can take entrance and exit ramps as fast as i want..LOVE curves
i have them...theres less flex overall...its hard to tell since i did all my suspension stuff at once...in the end they're worth it though

I have them, but haven't installed them yet. I just bought a set of Z28 springs, so I'm gonna get rid of my Eibachs 'cuz I need all the ground clearance I can get :D

Got'em too. I welded them in myself a few years back. They are getting kinda shabby though because of the sharp angle at my old garage. I scraped the crap out of them too many times. I'm looking to buy new ones soon.
Oh yeah, BIG difference!! I recommend installing them.
On my convert, they were impressive. Before sfcs, if I stuck my finger in the gap between the end of the dash and the door, there was substantial motion over even small bumps. The sfcs cut that down by more than half.
Which you get is not, in my opinion, that crucial. What is crucial is proper installation. The car needs to be supported by its' wheels to avoid welding a twist into the body. The welder needs to know his business, to avoid frying electronics or scorching something. The weld areas should be undercoated afterwards. I found a guy at a performance muffler shop who said he'd installed several sets on Mustangs. It certainly looked like he knew what he was doing.
Think it makes a big difference if i were to get just the kind that extend the frame down the sides, or if i got the kind that extend towards the center of the car also with the extra bracing? Ill probably just get the kind that runs down the sides, weld-in.
This should be a nice mod. i need some more suspension stuff than just LCA's, i need SFC's and shocks/springs.

I forgot to mention (as V6Bob said) the car must be sitting on all 4 tires when welding. The SFC's instructions had that highlighted in caps, so I knew it was important. Just to be on the safe side, I made sure I filled all the tires with equal pressure just before I got started. My old garage had a pit, so installation was easy. You can also put the car on 4 ramps, just make sure the ground is level.
im planning on getting them in the spring and i asked my shop teacher if he knew anything about welding subframe connectors on and he didnt really have any experience with it. however he is a very good welder and there is a lift in the shop so would it be safe to have him do it instead of paying to have them put on?
