  • PHB and LCA's are in

    Installed:

    Spohn Chro-moly rod-ended adjustable panhard
BMR Chro-moly tubular LCA's, rubber bushings both ends.

BMR will take their poly/rubber LCA's and add rubber to both ends if you ask.

Install: 1-1/2 hours total, I was taking my time. Took rear wheels off for space to work. Rear on jackstands, and used the jack under the diff to load the suspension enough for the PHB holes to line up. Blue locktite on the nuts, heard they've worked loose on people.

Impressions: Wow, it feels like the rear end is actually attached to the car again. I can add more power coming out of corners, since the rubber/rubber bushings don't mess with the rear roll stiffness. Both launches and braking are more controlled. Well worth the money, though the extra cost for the chro-moly might have been a little overkill for a couple pounds difference.

Next up - 17x8 wheels (centerlines) are ordered, and will be wrapped with Falken Azenis Sports - good for at least 2 seconds on the autocross course compared to the Kumho 712's.

I have the same lca;s except for poly/rubber. makes no difference having 1 poly or both rubber. the rubber flexes enough to prevent bind w/o having 2 have both bushings rubber. it does feel more stable in corners. only took 30 mins. to do both lca's at big O tires, doing it myself and borrowing their tools and lifts

BMR LCAs poly/poly (drag) are ALMOST my favorite mod.
      Enjoy!

Followup: autocross at Sierra Vista was on Sunday.

Brake hop is now a non-factor, even after the long straights - I used to hop madly. Real nice to be able to brake to the limits on the sticky concrete - I need a harness to hold me in place now! Felt great coming out of the corners too.

Several other drivers commented on how much smoother the car was driving, and asked me what I did to it :D

Now the wait for scores to get posted to see if I PAX'ed any higher..
