  • SLP Suspension Kit? Worth it?

I was looking around on SLP and came across this http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...&SHOWEMAIL=Off
They state that its the 'same as the optional suspension system available on all Camaro SS and Firehawk models' It seems like a good kit, the site explains all that comes with it. Does anyone upgraded to this? Is it worth the money and is there a significant improvement in handling? Also I'm trying to keep a smooth a ride as possible.

    That's very expensive.

    1. Bilstein HDs are $300(recent price drop from $400)
    2. Eibachs I wouldn't recommend, but they are just over $200. 1LEs are about $150 and don't drop the car.
    3. LCA and PHR look like they are probably 1LE. About $110 for both.
    4. 1LE front sway bar is about $80.

So it all comes out to about $700. Rough estimate. You're not saving anything by buying the kit. Which defeats the point of making a kit. You'll still need the rear sway bar since the V6 one is pretty small and that big one upfront might cause some understeer. You'll definitely improve your handling, but you can do better for that price. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the imput, since the kit really isnt a saver, which brand/type is the best to go with for the springs and shocks? Also what exactly is a "panhard rod with higher-durometer bushings"?

I'm on the Vineyard, what would the package include? I'm hoping not just for springs/shocks but a more complele package.

            1. 1LE springs
            2. Bilstein HD shocks
            3. 1LE panhard rod=panhard rod with higher-durometer bushings
            4. 1LE LCA
            5. 1LE sway bars with poly bushings/endlinks(make sure you get the right ones, if you get the 1LE sway bars with stock looking ends, then get Prothane endlinks, if ends look different 1LE endlinks, do a search on the endlinks)

Read in my sig about possible setups.
