  • hit a pothole , need help

    hey guys the other day i hit a bad pothole in the rain and noticed that the 2 rims ( passenger side) on the outer lip facing towards the car r bent but i've been checking my tires and they arent loosing air . it seems to ride good but anyone have any suggestions on what to check on ? i was thinkin of just buyin some 16'rims off ebay who knows any help would be good tho , thanks.
    2000 firebird w68, auto, t-tops , 3.42 , k&n, whisper lid, taylor 8mm spark plug wires , bosch spark plugs , 3\"in/out carsound CAT , 3\" i pipe, take off trans am muffler, C6 Z06 rims

    if the rims are bent, and you can acctualy see a bend in the lip.. then you need new ones.. or its an option look at your local phone book and see if you can find a place that repairs wheels..

    but.. for the money.. it may been cheeper to get some used 16's off ebay..

      dude that sucks my road is horrible...you cant go either direction w/o hitting like 20 freaking potholes
      but good luck w/ those wheels if they are really messed up id probably get some 18's off ebay

          you live in NJ, how far from slp?

          they have 16" takeoff TA rims for 50 each, might be worth the drive.

              Yeah, '94 is right.....get some 18's, if you want to spend all that money on new tires, and lose acceleration, top speed, and gas mileage hehe I mean, seriously....18's? You may have misread his post. It said he has a "Firebird", not an "F150".

                u can have them reconditioned and go get urself an alignment. Make sure the tires ok too, take it off and inspect them.
