  • sway bar noise?

Last Saturday I changed out my front sway bar to a BMR 32mm with the Prothane bushings and end-links and I have the stock v6 springs. At first it didn't make much noise but now it squeeks and creeks at every little bump. I notice it most when I acelarate from stop and when I stop. There is no noise in the turns.

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this? It sounds more of a rubing sound than a metal sound so I don't think its my springs but not 100% sure. I still have my old front bushings, if I changed them out would this take care of the noise? I don't mind losing that little bit of benifit of the front being urathane if i can get rid of the noise because it's driving me insane! One last thing... I'm in Texas so it was lower 50s when i put it on and now its lower 30s, could it just be the cold?

yeah.. typically the colder it gets the more it will squeek because the poly gets harder.. this is pretty normal behavior.

after a year or so when those bushings really settle in they wont squeek all that much..

    dont sweat it..

you could try to spray them with some white lithium grease

You should have greased the bushings before you put them on the swaybar.....I didn't grease them enough and get the same sqweaking up front.

You can't grease endlinks like you grease body bushings, AFAIK.

Try greasing the bushings (but as Wicked 3800 V6 said, don't do the endlinks). I have all poly bushings and I don't have creaking even in the cold, but mine aren't new (maybe they settled).
