  • Rear master brake cylinder

I just picked up a complete 3.42 rear end for my 97 V6 Firebird. I have drum brakes on my car now, will i need a new master brake cylinder, now that my new rear end has disc brakes? I searched every V6 f-body forum on the web and nobody said i would need a new master brake cylinder? the only thing people said was to make sure i get the Emergency brake cable. So can someone please tell me if now i have to get a new master cylinder? thanks

No. Your current Master Cylinder will work just fine. I did the same swap, and my M.C. worked with absolutely zero problems.
