Do these springs lower/raise the car or is it the same height as the stock springs?

Probably slightly higher, not noticable though.

Then is there any springs that keep the car at ride height, the reason i ask is because im getting new shocks. Would it be possible/smart to just upgrade the shocks (Bilstein HDs) and buy new OEM springs?

I don't follow. You can just get Bilsteins and keep your stock springs. Or you can get 1LE springs. Both will work. I don't see why you would want to buy the same springs are you have now.

Well if your considering puttin much of a stereo in your car and it's 97 older i'd suggest going with the Ile replacments i did and boy i'm glad i did i added you could say close to 100 lbs in the back and well the stock ones are just to weak for that kinda weight it looked like i had lowered my car and it road terrible i was consdinerg just doing the 114lb upgrade ones that the newer 98 have but i went with the 130-170 1le replacments i also decided to up the front springs to what the new 98 v6 have with the 256 or 257 i think over the 235 which is already stock on the car

Dom that could be what he was asking about keepin his height if he added more of a stereo later i don't know just givin my opinion

If you have a heavy car then V8 springs won't raise it. There are TAs that weigh 3600lbs and Forumulas that weigh 3300lbs. Springs are springs. If you remove alot of weight the car will probably go up. And vice versa.

I just wanted new shocks and a lot of people had told me that you gotta go with new springs also, but all the ones that i found were lowering springs with the exception of the 1LE ones. I posted the topic b/c i wanted to keep my stock ride height and thought that i needed to go with new springs.

I just installed 1LE springs on my car and the the height diff. is very minimal, say less than half an inch. I also changed out the shocks with Bilsteins at the same time. They give you a nice firm ride, with good handling. You can also get the shock modified to use coilovers and use the stock springs or get any spring rate you like then raise or lower the ride height at any time.

You don't need new springs with new shocks. If you like the springs you have then keep them. 1LE springs and Bilstein HDs work great. Stock springs with Bilstein HDs will also work good. When you get lowering springs then you need to buy the right shocks.

I'm debating on whether to get a coil-over setup, like in my sig, or just get BMR lowering springs w/ the matching HAL adjustable shocks. I'd say get lowering springs if you're gonna lighten your car, cuz it'll raise up w/ less weight in it. more weight, just get 1LE springs and matching shocks.
